2012.
So we’re already 6 weeks into a new year. That’s actually insane. I hate that time is going by quicker and quicker. I’m still deciding whether that is a symptom of getting old or whether I’m just cramming more into my life nowadays.  2012, to sum up, has been quite good so far. Already had it’s ups and downs - the sad passing of my uncle and work has had its moments...

Day 2: How much have you changed overall in 2011?
According to my friend Aimée I haven’t changed this year, but in a way I know that I have. I’ve gained a much more positive attitude towards work and it would appear I can be quite dedicated and hard working when I want to be. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot this year, not just to do with work but with other things also, and I think that as a whole can change you whether you know...

Day 1: What has been your most memorable moment in...
I’m going to have to say Glastonbury, day 1. Memorable for all the right and wrong reasons. It was such a tough morning, I’ve rarely seen such a torrential rain downpour, the sky was black and the whole of Worthy Farm became a mud bath in minutes. People were falling over, possessions were soaked, stuff was just getting wrecked. My red hair dye had ran down my face, as well as my...

2011/2012.
I’m gonna try and remember to do this. You should too. Day 1: What has been your most memorable moment in 2011?  Day 2: How much have you changed overall in 2011? Day 3: A person who has impacted your life in some way this year.  Day 4: Something you’ve learned this year. Day 5: Describe an adventure you had this year.  Day 6:  Any words of wisdom/advice for anyone? Day 7: 10 things...

Friday 18th November 2011.
I turned 23 on this day, and it wasn’t particularly an age I was greeting with open arms. What the hell is supposed to happen when you’re 23? But, I guess if it’s anything like being 22, 21, 20, 19 or 18 I’m in for a pretty good ride.  Birthday celebrations actually started on Tuesday, which was essentially my last day at work as obviously, I’ve booked holiday off...

October and November.
As you may or may not have gathered, I generally don’t use Tumblr anymore. I find it a bit boring, however I really miss writing. I’ve got a bit of an urge lately to write, so I thought I’d write a blog, alongside writing poems to put in the Christmas cards of my friends and work colleagues. They’re quite insulting, so please don’t be offended when you read yours....

STUFF. LIFE. THINGS.
Stuff and things have been going on in my life, as usual and as is to be expected. I’ve had quite a good fortnight, which is quite ironic, as it has been a fortnight since I split from my boyfriend, aka. World’s Biggest Twat. Obviously it’s horrid at the time, and given the circumstances of this particular break up it made this particular instance even worse… but I have to...

So I got bored of Tumblr.
And turned to Twitter. But now I’m just at home and I miss writing so I thought I’d put some stuff on here that hardly anyone will read or care about but I’ll have enjoyed writing it. Sooooo. What’s been happening? You know me, I generally keep myself busy doing this and that. The main exciting thing that has occurred in recent times was my trip to Glastonbury a month ago....

JUDGEMENT DAY!
I think I’m gonna be the first one to fall into this earthquake (can you even fall into earthquakes?) judging by the headache that has been bestowed upon me this morning. Last night I spent far too much money and drank far too much cider but it was pretty good. I went and saw The Cribs in Coventry with my friend Elliot and they were TOO good. I really miss going to dirty sweaty gigs, I need...

I went to watch Derren Brown and he picked on me.
So basically I am a huge Derren Brown fan, and I think I have literally watched everything he has ever recorded. I saw him around this time last year, and I blogged about that show at the time. Well last September he announced a new tour, Svengali, and I managed to get me, Lou and her Mumma front row seats. Amaze. Obviously when you book things so far in advance you just never think you’ll...

Some other stuff.
As usual, I’m keeping pretty busy, and my life as per usual is revolving heavily around my friends. I’ve had several very good nights out over the past few weeks, due to every friend under the sun seemingly having a birthday or some sort of life altering occurrence. There’s been a couple of trips over to Hinckley with Elliot, Luke and Sam, and of course some very wine filled...

Swan Lake
I’m getting terribly negligent. I started writing a blog about two weeks ago about my week off but never got round to finishing it. My Mum managed to publish what I’d started to write whilst cleaning my laptop keyboard. So I thought I’d talk about a few nice things I’ve been up to in the last month or so. In the half published blog I mentioned I went to London to see Swan...

I just had a well good week#';LKJHYGTDEWQ
As of 12pm on Saturday April 9th, I walked out of those automatic doors at work for the last time for a rather splendid 8 days off. And what a fantastic 8 days they were. As usual when I’ve worked a 6am-12pm shift on a Saturday morning, I pretty much had to go home and dive into bed. I’d been to watch Peter Kay (who was ace) at the NIA the night before and was pretty exhausted. I had...

I have so much stuff to catch up on here.
I’ll start with ‘current events’. I went out last night into town with a couple of friends from work. Me, Ange, Luke, Craig and Tony had a few cheeky drinkies at Angie’s before we took up residency in The Crew for the night. I departed from them for half an hour and visited my dear friend Mike in The Felix, which was ace as he’s NEVER out in Nuneaton any more. A shot...

Basically I either seem to be working loads of sleeping loads so Tumblr pretty much doesn’t fit in anywhere.

Being in bed on a Friday night?
A small sacrifice I have to make every other Friday night, due to 6am start at work on the Saturday morning. I am having a beyond pleasant week. On Monday night I had a meeting at the Abbey Theatre to discuss the upcoming Stars in their Eyes show which I have taken part in for the past two years. It’s now rolled around yet AGAIN, and it’s auditions next Tuesday. Very very exciting. I...

Some things I have enjoyed.
Last night, in a round-a-about sort of way. I was well ready for bed at 11, so I decided to go out in Coventry and get in at 3.30am instead.  Dancing and singing to Florence and the Machine ‘Dog Days Are Over’ was ace. Talking and concocting ‘The Blob’ with Sam Smith-Jones was also fun. Someone having a White Stripes sesh on the Tav duke box. Work. I actually love...

My White Stripes love affair - c.2002 to present.
Last night I heard the piece of news I have been dreading for years. The news that your most favourite band of all time, in the world ever, the band that mean everything to you - have split up. Before I continue, I am fully aware The White Stripes have their fair share of haters, but this post isn’t about me gabbering on about how amazing they were, it’s about what they meant to me,...

Some stuff I've been up to lately.
I’ve been busy making more plans, ensuring my 2011 is going to be super duper fun. I’m going to Paris in March with Rachel, so excited to be going somewhere new. By then, I’ll have worked 3 months solid with no paid time off so it’ll be a much welcome break by then. Today I booked my obligatory open air gig for the year also - Arcade Fire and Mumford and Sons in Hyde Park...

2011, so far.
We’re 11 days in. It’s been brilliant so far. I’ve got a new job which so far I’m totally loving, the advantage is I’m still at the same company (Sainsburys) so I’m still with all my friends, I just have a more exciting role! It’s full time too. I’m Cash Office Clerk and Price Controller! AND - I no longer have to deal with customers. I get to sit...

This was 2010.
2010 was a fabulous year, in hindsight. The low points were meeting and getting involved with a couple of pathetic excuses for men but jeez it’s become apparent that I was and am much better, and happier, without. I’ve been a very lucky girl this year to have done so many wonderful things, and more importantly to have had so many really brilliant people to do them with. If I had to do...

So it's a new year.
I hate yet love the idea of a blank canvas ahead. Literally, so much happens in a year, so much comes and goes, so many highs and lows. I think my main intention for this year is to carry on earning money, and enjoying my current lack of commitment and my current degree of freedom. 2010 was a good year for that. I have an epic ‘Highlights of 2010’ blog to post so watch out for that...
