...and so it begins.

Lucy. Female. 23. Friends, film, music, experience, conversation, clothes. The rest is history. This is my blog. I use it more so as a diary, a place to record, document, share, moan and marvel but most importantly, it allows me to say what I want. And if you're interested in what I have to say, then that's fabulous :-)

2012.

So we’re already 6 weeks into a new year. That’s actually insane. I hate that time is going by quicker and quicker. I’m still deciding whether that is a symptom of getting old or whether I’m just cramming more into my life nowadays.

2012, to sum up, has been quite good so far. Already had it’s ups and downs - the sad passing of my uncle and work has had its moments but I have to say, there has been plenty of good and positive things happen that dilute the bad. No doubt the best memories and moments are yet to come, and I cannot bloody wait.

My main focus of the year so far is my holiday to Barcelona with Aimée at the end of April. I know I seem to always be going there but I’m just not finished with the place, it’s too fantastic, and I’ve been there enough times now to not have to run around like a twat trying to be ultimate tourist. I cannot wait to lie on a beach, walk down the Ramblas, visit some clubs, watch FC Barcelona and just have a laugh with one of my best mates. And of course, I’m in the process of buying a whole new wardrobe. Coz guess what guys, I’ve lost two stone ain’t I!

My spare time is still heavily revolving around films, old and new, as watching a good film is increasingly becoming my most favourite way to chill out. I’m quite taken to visiting The Electric Cinema in Birmingham on my own - there’s something about it I just love. During quite a stressful period a few weeks ago I went to watch The Artist on my own - it was honestly one of the most fantastic cinematic experiences I have had. I’m going to watch it again tomorrow night with my friend Lou - it’s our Valentines date! A cheeky cocktail will also be involved.

I also saw The Descendants last week, I enjoyed it, don’t quite understand all the attention it’s had at the Oscar’s but hey, maybe they saw something I missed. On Saturday I saw The Woman in Black, honestly the biggest crock of shit ever. Daniel Radcliff just cannot act! LAST NIGHT I saw The Grey, which was just another excuse for Liam Neeson to kick some ass and be all moody and cool. He’s awesome though. I’m so SO excited for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Hunger Games, The Devil Inside and later on this week I’m going to go watch Martha Marcy May Marlene which will hopefully be my kinda thing.

I’m debating what film to watch now, I bought Drive on DVD and I’m yet to see it, but I just glanced at my DVD shelf and The Shining caught my eye - Jack Nicholson is an unbelievably sexy man!

This blog was quite pointless but I was reading my Tumblr page so thought I’d pay it a bit of attention.
