...and so it begins.

Lucy. Female. 23. Friends, film, music, experience, conversation, clothes. The rest is history. This is my blog. I use it more so as a diary, a place to record, document, share, moan and marvel but most importantly, it allows me to say what I want. And if you're interested in what I have to say, then that's fabulous :-)

So it’s a new year.

I hate yet love the idea of a blank canvas ahead. Literally, so much happens in a year, so much comes and goes, so many highs and lows. I think my main intention for this year is to carry on earning money, and enjoying my current lack of commitment and my current degree of freedom. 2010 was a good year for that. I have an epic ‘Highlights of 2010’ blog to post so watch out for that later.

But yes, another year of possibility. I just referred to it as a blank canvas, but I already have things planned:

  • Appearing in Stars in their Eyes at the Abbey Theatre
  • Derren Brown (FRONT ROW might I add)
  • Rush <3
  • Peter Kay
  • Styx, Foreigner, AC/DC
  • GLASTONBURY

And a trip to Paris with Rachel. I am also in the process of planning a trip to L.A. in October. I’ll be going on my own, but I really want to go and do it. I’ve been to New York for the past two years, so now I’m wanting to explore that side of the world a little bit more. Exciting!

So it’s already got good prospects. We’re currently 37 hours and 9 minutes into 2011 and I have to say it’s been a good 37 hours and 9 minutes.

New Year was good at Stu’s house, as always, as was the Tav before hand. A special mention needs to go to James and Ash and their Singstar efforts duetting Disney’s ‘The Circle of Life’. My make up ran everywhere as a result of that performance.

I spent New Years day in bed, watching Uncle Buck and Sex and the City. I went to Adam’s house in the evening where we ordered an epic curry, had Ben and Jerry’s and watched The Shining. It was the best way to spend a Saturday off work.

But as for the present, it’s time to work off the Christmas crap I’ve indulged in. The gym finally reopened today, so my dear readers, that’s where I’m headed! Ciao!
